ABOUT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR REAL PEOPLE

CD4RP non profit organization in Henry County Georgia logo

Community Development for Real People, Inc has evolved into a full service 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to directly help vulnerable families, kids and seniors in the community. CD4RP was formed by Elton Alexander and his late wife Alicia (Morgan) Alexander in 2003. Tragically, Alicia was  killed in an automobile accident a short time later the same year. Elton Alexander made a decision to continue the mission he and his late wife Alicia set out to execute.

The impact and commitment of community service was ingrained in Elton Alexander after hearing the testimony of the transformative change the Boys & Girl Club of Metro Atlanta made on Alicia’s life and seeing first hand impact of Alicia's work on their kids and kids in the community. We carry on CD4RP in Alicia’s memory honoring her wishes to serve the community by giving back to the community in need.

We now hold our weekly CD4RP Food Drive providing nutritious food to those in need with an increased focus on kids and seniors battling food insecurity. The CD4RP Food Drive launched March 17, 2020 just ahead of the Covid Pandemic shutdown. We started in partnership with Sylvain Funeral Home in Henry County pioneering a drive through style food distribution that became a lifeline to so many families when food and resources were so scare during the shutdown. In the last three years we have literally served thousands of kids, seniors, veterans, and those in need weekly thanks to so many great volunteers, supporters, businesses, and the kindness of the public. Our core volunteers are God sent to do his work in our community, I will forever be grateful for everything they do to impact the village.

Our yearly CD4RP Adopt A Family Christmas event now provides over 2000 toys a year to families in need and has done so the last 11 years. Our yearly school supply and bookbag giveaway serves over 300 kids each year along with our Summer Food Program to put food on the table for our children and getting them off to a great school year. Giving brings CD4RP so much joy, All the Glory to God! CD4RP is truly a take action mission based non profit organization. We hope that you will join us in the mission to directly and positively impact the lives of families, children and seniors in the community. Contact CD4RP directly to see us in action and support our mission.
